About STRIDE

STRIDE is an after-school and summer program run that engages youth ages 8-14. The program is located in the University Settlement’s Houston Street Center  in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Designed to promote student’s growth into successful, well-rounded individuals, STRIDE encourages youth to think critically, exercise independent decision-making, and develop healthy social interactions with their peers. STRIDE’s holistic and comprehensive approach offers the right balance of academics, arts and leadership, and sports and recreation.
