Glee is a show that is a musical/comedy/drama. The show was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchulk, and Ian Brennan. It shows on Fox on Tuesdays at 8:00pm. The show begins with a high school Spanish teacher who wants to bring Glee back to its former glory. Glee is an afterschool singing club that performs and is full of spirit. The plot focuses on the lives of several students in Glee club and different obstacles they face as they go through high school, including: family relationships, fitting in, peer pressure, popularity, bullying, sexuality, dating, and pregnancy. There is a lot of diversity in the show. In the club there is a: gay student, a differently-abled student, an Asian student, a black student, a jock, a cheer captain, a bully, a drama queen, and a Goth girl. Though these are all stereotypes, Glee actually talks about the other sides of the students that people might not know.
Glee introduces several great artists like Billy idol, Journey, The Pretenders, Coldplay, John Lennon, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, etc. Basically the show features several genres of music you might not normally listen to. Some of my favorite songs they sang are bad romance, poker face, and don’t stop believing.
When I first saw Glee I really hated it. The first episode seemed kind of boring. It just didn’t hook me. But after a few episodes I started to like it. I guess sometimes the episodes are kind of boring but sometimes they are really cool. I think the characters resemble real people and their lives. It feels like some events that happen could actually happen in real life, like when Finn found out he got Quinn pregnant. Or some are less realistic, but still fun to watch. For example, Rachael found out her long
lost mother was the captain of their rival glee team. Rachael and her mom united , sang together and, then broke apart.
